• There is a growing demand for access to adipose derived cells and extracellular matrices suitable for in vitro and in vivo applications.
• A three dimensional constructs mimicking the function of intact human tissues and providing a metabolically active microphysiological system as an alternative to in vivo animal models.
• Obatala Sciences in collaboration with University of Pittsburgh and Tulane University, have begun to develop a universal medium compatible with the maintenance of adipogenic, chondrogenic, and osteogenic differentiated cell systems.
• Two different biological scaffolds generated from human blood derived products and adipose tissue, respectively, have been evaluated as hydrogels in the context of human adipose-derived cells adipogenesis and osteogenesis.
