Undergraduate Summer Bootcamp
Are you interested in learning more about the field of biomedical engineering?
The Institute for Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering (IBBME) is offering a paid opportunity for first and second year engineering science undergraduate students. The aim of this program is to expose students to the fundamentals of biomedical lab work (e.g. microscopy, mammalian cell culture, DNA isolation, etc). The program themes will focus on molecular and cellular engineering. Students will be paid $1,000 for their participation in the program.
IBBME aims to engage students with a hands-on learning experience, fundamental laboratory skills, and improved technical competence, which will assist students gain a competitive edge when looking for research positions.
This will be a 12-week program starting in May. The students will be required to commit 4 hours per week to hone their laboratory skills.
